The sewing & embroidery machine classes below are complimentary for customers who have purchased their machine from S&R Sewing-either location. If you purchased your machine of another brand somewhere else you may pay a fee and take the class; however please call the store to sign up and let us know what machine you have so that we can get you in the correct class and take the payment for the class.

This class has already happened; however go ahead and register and you will be placed on a wait list for our next class and be the first called when scheduled. Thank you!

Baby Lock Destiny part 1-Sewing machine part (no need to bring the embroidery unit or anything related to the embroidery), cut-away stabilizer

  • You will bring your machine, cord & Digital foot control, Sensor Pen, to part 1, along with sewing thread, bobbins and the accessory tray and all the feet that came inside.
  • You will add the embroidery unit and hoops for part 2 and 3, an assortment of sewing & embroidery thread, cut-away stabilizer, 1/2 yard of plain cotton fabric, scissors, your machine’s user manual.

 Baby Lock Destiny part 2-Embroidery part only: What to bring: Sewing & embroidery machine unit, power cord, 9.5”x14” hoop, tear-away stabilizer, a tea towel- we have some for sale, we will use design #28 under Home Accents in the machine as our practice design-you may look at that design and pick your thread colors to bring to stitch and a pre-wound bobbin or wind your bobbin with bobbin thread, embroidery foot, scissors

 Baby Lock Destiny part 3-IQ Designer only, What to bring to class: Bring your machine, embroidery unit, power cord,  5x7 hoop with and drawing tablet and stylist. Bring or buy a linen towel when you get here. 

 Remember, after your new owner's classes you will be ready to keep the education up with other technique and fun learning classes. As with elementary school, education doesn't stop.

    This was a GREAT class.
    Being able to have a hands on class for this part of the Destiny was so helpful to me. I also appreciate that we were given a handout to take home for future reference is so much better than hand scribbled notes. The size of class was perfect as we were all able to get individual help from the instructor and were able to chat with each other. Our instructor knew what she was teaching and was so good about helping each of us.
    THANK YOU for a GREAT CLASS
    I learned a LOT
